Our names are Barbara & Terry Tebo. We live in beautiful Salamander Bay, NSW. We met in 1970 when we were postgraduate students at the London School of Economics.

We started a ‘Free School’ for street kids in Birmingham, England.  The kids called the school ‘The Happy House’. It became famous when the BBC made a television documentary about it. Then we went on to work with more street kids in inner London for several years.

Having had enough of big city life we moved to a small hamlet in rural Somerset where we lived off the land, kept bees and gave birth to our two beautiful daughters.

We brought our young family to Australia in 1984 where we trained in the field of personal development. We are adult education teachers, counsellors and corporate trainers. We have taught seminars in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Bali, South Africa, Malaysia and Fiji. We are the authors of six books and the founders of ‘Australian Lifespring’. Together we have taught thousands of people how to improve their relationship skills, better understand their emotional life and deepen their spirituality.

Together we are the founders of the Australian Peace Academy and the Port Stephens Peace Circle. We are also founding members of a community choir in Salamander Bay called the SeaSide Singers. We are the parents of two daughters and the grandparents of three grandchildren. Together we enjoy exploring Australia in our caravan whose name is ‘Peace Angel’.
